Today it’s what I wanna say…

Had a total knee replacement 20 days ago

And for the past several days,

I have had a set back in my recovery and I am frustrated.

If you are like I was (and I bet you are),

You are frustrated with where your life is going.

Not enough time to be with those incredible people you love

No time to pursue your interests or

Just relax with your honey and go out to a nice dinner

Or go to the movies (or watch streaming on your devices at home…)

Take a great vacation, anywhere you want to go

Anytime... you.....want to go.

Or maybe you just want to add to what you bring home?

Part time stuff you can do anytime you feel like it.

I bet you’re also frustrated with what you have seen available online:

If you have searched for ways to find an answer you can live with,

You were highly disappointed.

I know, I was there, three years ago I was very mad and frustrated

Because the company I worked for,

(It was a non-profit, hospital-based healthcare business),

Was sold to a for-profit company.

I had been there for 16+ years and loved it,

I was planning on staying there until I retired.

Well, as you can probably guess…

They began to change everything.

They no longer had the patients as the #1 thing in our care,

And they didn’t see the staff as assets but as liabilities.

Because I was in upper management and had performed almost every job in the company

I stayed on as I was promised my seniority and pay would remain the same.

They considered me an “Utility Player”

And gave me several jobs to do over the next 9 months.

And I got to see the inner workings and goals of the new owners.

After 9 months I was informed my pay was too high...

And was going to be adjusted…by 20%!!!!!

Well, I gave notice the next day.

I began my search, to find something else to do,

Something that I would control

And my income would be depending on me,

Not someone I would have to report to.

I looked and researched, and looked some more.

Didn’t like what I was finding…

Too much of the same thing over and over.

They wanted my money

And then were offering training that consisted of their books or tapes/CD’s showing how they developed their own books, tapes and CDs to sell.

Then I stumbled upon a YouTube video by a bald dude talking about his journey to be a Digital Marketer…

I do not intend to sail until the month of June; and when shall I return? Ah, sister, how can I answer this question? If I succeed, many, many months, perhaps years, will pass before you and I may meet. If I fail, you will see me again soon, or never. Farewell, my, excellent Margaret.
