Hey there Friend,

Wow...

So I seriously dropped the ball today!

Here it is after 3:00 in the afternoon and I'm just now remembering I have a newsletter to get out.

All I can say is a huge, "I'm sorry!"

We're literally days away from being displaced from our home of the past 13 years, and we still don't quite know where we're going. We've been packing stuff up every day, and the new owner was doing a walk-through today, so we all had to leave.

Can you say, "preoccupied?"

Uh, yeah...

So what does this have to do with guitar?

Well, let's just say that things don't always go as planned. Maybe you planned on practicing for a half-hour a day, but the day had other plans for you.

Perhaps that song you wanted to learn proved to be more of a challenge than you expected. Or that solo you were working on just doesn't have the kick you were looking for.

Regardless of what your plans are, life tends to throw wrenches into the works. How you choose to use those wrenches is up to you.

You can get bogged down in a pity party because you didn't stick to your practice schedule, or you can resolve to do better, starting today.

You can let the song beat you, or buckle down and figure out what is missing in your skills or technique.

Or maybe instead of quitting on that solo, you spend some time looking for inspiration or studying some theory to better understand how to make the solo more fiery.

The bottom line is up to you to decide.

I decide to fire off a quick note to you. You deserve my allegiance - you've stuck with me, and you're my inspiration.

Keep rockin' strong, Peeps!

Peace~

Dave
