Hope you're having a good Saturday! I've put together a quick summary of the stuff we talked about this past week.
I know I covered a lot of material that isn't necessary to understand. You can learn scales without know what each note is called, or what an interval is. But I want to challenge you to become a better educated, more well-rounded guitarist than your typical player.
When you understand the theory side of music, you are much more likely to take guitar playing seriously - not because of the technical knowledge you gain, but because you have an understanding of the emotions you can evoke in your audience. You learn how to use notes and chords to make a song flow and you know how to emotionally move someone who's listening to your music.
There's LOTS more to come - we've literally just scratched the scratch of the surface! Make sure you give your ax some love today...
