So my family ended up not flying north, as the airline cancelled the return flight and they seem to be waiting until the last minute to cancel future flights back to Orlando.
My wife has been super-stressed (to be expected) and is not good about managing uncertainty. The decision to stay here was a tough one…
We spent the morning finishing hurricane prep, so now we just have to wait it out. With any luck we’ll maintain power and internet service.
I thought we had lost internet earlier, but after rebooting the modem a couple times, it came back...
The guitars are relaxing in their spots - they weren’t any friggin’ help getting ready for Irma! They’re as bad as the cats!
It’s wild - the sun is currently shining with a light wind blowing to the southwest. No hint that major weather is on its way...
Anyway, just wanted to let you know we’re still standing. As Dennis over in Port St. Lucie, FL said to me earlier, we’re soon to be “ Riders On The Storm…”
