Hey Friend,
My wife is starting 2017 off with a bang - and a project - for me...
We're climbing on the roof to paint and (hopefully) seal a flat section over the lanai area. With any luck, this shouldn't take all day, but we're talking about MY luck! Anyway, it needs done, and now's as good a time as any.
Won't have as much fun as, say James Taylor... but you can enjoy his version of rooftop work.
That means, of course, that I'll not be playing much guitar today... I hope you get a chance to, though.
We watched a movie last night that I really enjoyed. For any of you that either grew up during the 80s or appreciate the music that came out of it, I recommend " Sing Street".
It's got a good story line, kind of a "coming of age" story, and a very good soundtrack. I even enjoyed the songs written specifically for the film.
Now y'all know I'm a sucker for music that inspires strong emotional vibes, and I dig anything that takes me back down Memory Lane, so if you're inclined, take a watch. Davey gives it "two thumbs up!"
I found it while reading an article about really good movies that came out in 2016 but didn't get a lot of traction in theaters. Probably because there aren't any explosions, aliens or killings. You can find it on Netflix, or of course rent it on Amazon or other services.
The wife is getting antsy to get started so have a great January 1!
Peace~
