Hey ,
Morning!
Hope you had a nice day and a chance to relax and unwind a bit yesterday. This time of year is usually pretty good for that.
It’s also a good time to look back over the happenings of the past 12 months and think about what’s working and what’s not.
Does your guitar playing sound better? Can you make your chord changes easier than at the beginning of the year? Are your fingers stronger than they were then?
Are you getting what you need from me?
I can tell you that, personally, I’ve got some changes that need made in a big way. I’ve had a little down time (thank you, flu season), and that has allowed me to sit back and think about how I’ve been running Learn To Play Rock Guitar.
The site has been online since September of 2007, which is like a thousand years old in Internet years. And it looks it…
It needs a real overhaul, from updating the content, to graphics and overall design. Funny, it kind of mirrors what I have going on - OFFLINE...
I’ve been in deep-reflect mode and am in the process of re-evaluating a lot of things in my life.
Job. Music. Goals. Purpose.
A lot of my energy goes into thinking about how I can help you better, and I’ve come to realize that I’m just not able to do everything I’d like to for you. There’s not enough time (or energy) in the day to think and design and build and record...
The biggest factor getting in the way is the j.o.b.
All the time and mental stress that goes into working a j.o.b. you can’t stand anymore steals your life force, and I guess I’ve had enough. I’m finally to a point where it hurts to much to continue in the current state.
So I’m making changes.
Over the next few days, I’ll detail a bit of what I’m doing in 2018. I’ll let you know what I’m going to do for you, and how you can help me help you better.
Peace~
Dave
