Hope the weekend is going well for you - just being able to sleep in an extra hour was almost a coup for me!

A lot of musicality is being able to “hear” what’s going on in a song. Hearing is not just about listening - it’s about making sense of the interaction of sound.

Music theory and practical exercises are great, but until your ears are trained to really hear what is happening within a production, you’re can’t learn from it or incorporate the secrets into your own playing and writing.

One of the reasons I spend so much time on triads and the notes that create them is that I want your ears to be familiar with the pitches. When notes are combined and played, they undergo subtle sonic changes as different harmonics are introduced.
