Hey there Friend,

Hope your Halloween festivities were more treats than tricks!

Well, as promised, I've got some audio samples of different metronome settings recorded. Because these aren't going to work well in an email, I'll be sending you over to a web page to take a listen to the samples. The page isn't quite complete, so I'll send another email when it is up. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can't believe it's November 1st! The year truly has flown by, and I'm glad you all have chosen to step into my little world. Thank you!

With the holidays coming up, I'm sure you're all thinking about gear you'd like to add to your music-making collection.

Personally, my wife and I were talking about going vintage and perhaps adding a turntable to the household. That means vinyl is back in! The sick (bad, not sick good) part is she got rid of all my old vinyl albums a few years back. Who'd a thunk vinyl would make a comeback? So I don't know if that's going to happen or not.

I've also been toying with the idea of picking up a bass guitar. Sure, I've got a midi controller and plenty of bass sounds either in samples or from synthesizers, but there's something about the feel that comes from live bass. Like guitar, it has to do with the fingers on steel and the rawness of the signal. I think learning to play bass will also help develop my timing better as well.

What about you? Is there any gear you'd like to get your hands on this season?

Sorry again for the delays on the metronome samples. They really are done, I just have to get them set up on the web page so you can hear 'em!

Until then...

Peace~

Dave
