Subject: This Could Be "Cringe-Worthy"

Hey Friend,

Yesterday I listed out ten reasons why your time is better spent learning to play guitar rather than doing home improvement projects.

CAUTION: THIS MIGHT GET GROSS!

10.   Less Offensive Visually
9.      More Mobile
8.      Less Tools Needed
7.      Less Physically Painful
6.      More Fun Socially
5.      More Impressive
4.      Sexier
3.      More Envy
2.      Less Expensive
1.      More Respect

Looking at number 10, you might be scratching your head. "Less Offensive visually?" I have only one thing to say...

Plumber's butt.

The last thing I want to see is some middle-aged guy with low-rider jeans on, butt-crack peeking out over the back of his pants.

Guitars are beautiful objects. Their shapes evoke so many dreams and fantasies. Just sitting on a stand or hanging on a wall, guitars rival masterpiece works of art.  And someone playing guitar - ANYONE playing guitar - is hands-down better to look at than the guy who shows up to fix your hot water heater.

There aren't many images I can think involving guitar that make me cringe like the sight of some dude's hairy half-moon (or worse) rising over the waistband of his jeans. Ain't nobody got time for that!

No one can dispute that curves are a beautiful thing. The graceful lines of a Gibson Les Paul or the swoops of a Fender Stratocaster body are sheer poetry. I don't think anyone would disagree with me that plumbers should keep their curves to themselves.

And it's not just plumbers. There seems to be a subset of all trade laborers who feel the need to show off their "assets." Haven't they ever heard of a belt?

It would be a little different if they were Playboy models (or Chippendale's, for the ladies), but then, that's a different distraction.

Anyway, for my money, I'll stick to my guitar collecting and practicing - I'm not pretty, but everyone looks better with a guitar slung across their body!

Especially when they're rocking out a tune. A great way to do just that is with power chords. You get the fundamental pitches of the chord with the first and fifth notes, and when you pair that with a nice, crunchy amplifier (or a good solid downward strum on the strings) - BOOM - instant attitude!

I've laid out over 250 power chords in my ebook, "Easy Power Chords." In literally minutes, you can add dynamics to your playing and be rocking out. Take a look at Easy Power Chords today and see  what the hype is all about.

Peace~
