Hey Friend,
"Beware the Ides of March" - William Shakespeare in Julius Caesar.
It's March 15, the "Ides of March," the day Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC. I remember reading the play in junior high school. I think that's about the time I also saw " A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," a comedy that takes place in ancient Rome. I know, random, but hey, that's how I roll!
The Ides also marked the first full moon of the year, but we don't worry too much about that kind of stuff anymore (unless you're a werewolf...).
Anyhoo, let's look at another A minor progression we can mess around with. This one has a bit of a "stepping down" feel to it.
It incorporates the following triads:
Am Dm G C F B°
This one will give your fingers some good calisthenics, although they're not difficult shifts from one triad to the next. In fact, if you break them down into chord pairs, each chord is similar to its partner in shape and proximity.
Take a listen to the MP3 and then give your fingers a good workout.
You know what time it is... Time to flog the dog again - off to work. Have a great one!
Peace~
