Hey Friend,
Thank you for your patience over the past few days. We got very bad news last Friday night.
Our 22 year old niece Paige passed away. We’re still navigating through the shock...
News like this never comes easy, and while she had a disease called Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA), she still had many years ahead of her.
Paige was a fighter and fiercely independent. Despite losing the ability to walk, she resisted a wheelchair until her high school senior year, relying on canes and walkers until then. Even then, she insisted on doing for herself.
She had just graduated college and started graduate school last week studying biology. She also moved into her own apartment and was at a very happy point in her life.
There was one mission in her mind - to help find a cure for FA. She was actively involved with FARA and had a real drive to make a difference - and she was well on her way to that end.
This has come as a very poignant reminder to me that every minute in our lives count…
I truly appreciate all the thoughts and prayers you’ve been sending our way. <HUGS>
Peace~
Dave
