Subject: Sunday Fun Day

Hey Friend,

Let's take a little break today. I don't know about you, but I've got lot's of fun stuff to try and finish up before the end of the year.

Yesterday, I broke loose of some inertia and got back to work on baseboard trim in our kitchen. My wife is getting itchy again to ramp up more home improvement projects, which I've been more than happy to put off. She just informed me that we've secured a loan from my mother-in-law to get cracking on finishing up the inside of the house. Ugh.

In fact, she's in the back right now tearing a wall out while I write this. And when I get done here, I'll be getting back to baseboard trim.

I guess the sooner we get all this stuff done, the better. I'm slowly internalizing that dividing time between projects fractures my ability to do any of them well. I've never been real quick or witty, but this is a lesson I wish I had learned a long time ago.

I know it's a challenge we all face - dividing our time between the things that give us joy and all the other stuff we have to do. Do you have any suggestions for maintaining better focus and getting things done more efficiently? I'm definitely open to hearing any suggestions, and I'm sure other people are interested, too.

We all have to sacrifice time away from guitar and music for things like jobs and daily self/household maintenance. There's no getting away from that, but wouldn't it be great to get them out of the way faster (or have someone else do them)?

Anyway, we'll get back to music tomorrow. Let me know if you've got any good tips for getting more done in less time. Have an awesome day!

Peace~
