Hey Friend,
Hope you’re having a nice, relaxing Sunday morning.
I’ll be brief, as I’ve got lots of domestic stuff to do today - including installing a small door for the cats. Maybe they’ll be a little less of a PITA now that they can let themselves out!
I’ve had the song “ Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” (performed by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers) on my mind lately and decided this morning to pull it up and listen. Tom and his lead guitarist Mike Campbell wrote the song.
It was originally recorded as a Heartbreakers tune, but passing it to Stevie Nicks for her first solo album was the right move. It became the first single off the album Bella Donna.
I guess the thing that draws me in most is the sound of the big room they recorded it in. I love the reverb effect, that huge, open-air sound. It’s particularly noticeable in the vocals, the hits on the snare drum and the lead guitar riffs. Love it!
Anyway, time to get my butt in gear. Have a great one!
Peace~
Dave
