Hey Friend,
I'm on another home improvement work detail again today - this time laying down flooring in the bathroom. While I would have liked to finish this project off this weekend, it's not to be. The vanity top isn't going to be installed until Monday, which means I can't get to the plumbing that needs to be done.
Plus, the new flooring needs time to set, so we'll do what we can, and then I get to do TAXES! I know you're excited for me - please try to contain it, because I'M not excited about it. I guess it's just the price of living and working...
You have plenty of exercises you can practice from the triads in the key of A minor, so you don't need anything new today. Plus you probably have a life to live, too! Right?! However... I did get a question earlier this week about melodies and soloing over chords. I thought I'd send you over to Jim Lill for a little lesson on just that. Don't get hung up on the fact that it's Country. Just listen to the riffs and and licks that get shown. There are some great sounds coming out and they really highlight some excellent techniques to make your solos sound unique and interesting. Check it out here.
I let you to it - and I'm going to go put my grubby clothes on so I can get this floor done. Have a great one!
Peace~
