Hey Friend,

It's the calm before the chaos. As I sit here at my desk, trying to come up with something coherent to say to you, my brain keeps shoving thoughts of guitar aside for the work I've got scheduled for the day. And it's not because I'm excited to go do it!

We went out last night and bought a bunch of drywall. Since it's not going to hang itself, old Davey needs to get crackin'.

While I managed to come up with some fairly creative guitar riffs this morning before breakfast, the inspiration seems to have dried up. My brain is preoccupied with getting the work done as quickly as possible.

The only cure for this is to just jump into the hard labor and get it over with, rather than sit here and beat my head against the desktop.

As for you...

Keep working on those chord changes I gave you yesterday, or if you're so inclined, feel free to goof off a bit. Play through some of your favorite songs, or try learning a new one.

If you haven't been out to songsterr.com in a while, go check it out. Pick an artist/song and have some fun.

It's Saturday, for Pete's sake! Just because I have a dirty job to do today doesn't mean you have to!

I'll have music playing while we work, so that will help.
