| | | Hey Friend,
As you read this, I'm probably somewhere near Charlotte, North Carolina.
We got on the road early this morning to head north back to Ohio for a visit. The kids are on their spring Break from school, and since we haven't seen family since July of last year, it seemed like a good time to make the trek.
I'm in charge of traveling music, so I put together a miss-mash of various artists to help the 1000 miles go a little smoother. Maybe also to calm the raging beast that comes out in rush hour traffic (although, she may be napping at that time - shhhh). Hopefully our timing is impeccable and we miss out on the morning and evening commutes.
Personally, one of my favorite CDs to listen to in the car is Duets II - Frank Sinatra paired up with 14 junior artists. This album was a gateway album for me to start collecting more Sinatra. The guy had such a knack for phrasing that just made a song come alive - not to mention his incredible voice!
It's particularly great on a starry summer evening with the car top down and the wind whipping through your hair. Unfortunately, I don't think my car mates appreciate Frank as much as I do, so I must refrain...
Anyway, just wanted to dash off a quick email to y'all so you didn't think I forgot about you!
Have a great weekend - Rock ON!
Peace~
Dave
