It was a dark and stormy night...
Remember that old cliched introduction to a spooky story? Yeah, not so much of a cliche here in Central Florida last night. Hurricane Matthew made sure there were plenty of thumps, bumps and creaks in the night.
There were times I felt like Lt. Dan in " Forest Gump" minus the heaving ocean waves!
We have power right now, but it's been going out when we get hit with a big gust of wind, so I'm going to keep this short. In fact, it dropped in the middle of writing this email out to you. The eye is just east of us right now and obviously unpredictable. Hopefully by this evening things will have calmed down.
Regardless, we're not going anywhere. Our whole county is under curfew to stay off the roads until 7:00 am tomorrow morning.
