Sorry for the lateness of this email today. Kid #2 had a cross country meet this morning and we’re just getting back from it. 

I won’t keep you but for a couple minutes. 

You know I’m a big fan of power chords, especially for beginner players, because they give you the ability to start playing rhythm parts for just about any rock song. I even put together an ebook with power chord instruction and printable charts. You can check out Easy Power Chords here.

They’re extremely simple to play, and even when your fingers haven’t toughened up yet, you can still get up to speed quickly and be playing real songs now.

Guitar World has a great article here about expanding on basic power chords and creating some unique sounds without having to increase your ability too much. This is perfect not only for newer players, but also for us old salts, too! 

Heck, any time you can expand your knowledge without having to add struggle to it is a good deal to me…
