Subject: Plucking double stops

Hey Friend,

I put my driving instructor hat on today and took my daughter out for some practice...

We graduated from driving around a mall parking lot to actually circling the entire mall - which include driving on a real road!

Throw in a little rain and it made for a "fun" experience…

Seriously, she’s doing pretty well and there hasn't been any tears!

I’ve got another hybrid picking lesson for you. The technique involves using your middle and ring fingers to pluck double stops while your pick handles the bass note.

The exercise today uses the same chords as the last exercise, and the same time signature (3/4).

However, this time you will pluck two strings of the chord (this is the double stop) at the same time after picking the bass note.

The tempo is a bit faster (120 BPM), but you can handle it. If not, just practice at a lower tempo until you’re up to speed - here’s a free metronome

And here are the exercise files:

Hope you have a nice afternoon. Rock on!

Peace~
