Subject: Need a Laugh?

Hey Friend,

Sorry about yesterday’s email. With two kids going in opposite directions, sometimes the best laid plans need to be scrapped and you just have to go with the flow.

I had planned on giving you the rules that must be followed when applying the major scale pattern to actual pitches. I’m still going to give those to you, but not until tomorrow.

There’s a little regrouping I need to do, so we’ll get back to the study of melody then.

Speaking of Kids...

In the meantime, if you’re up for a laugh, did you ever see the old TV show called "Kids Say The Darndest Things?" A host asks kids questions and the resulting answers are usually hilarious?

Art Linkletter (and later Bill Cosby) hosted this show from 1945 to 1969 (Bill Cosby from 1998 to 2000). You can’t help but laugh at some of the things coming out of kid’s mouths on the show.

In a similar vein, Five Brothers Entertainment put’s together “Kids React” videos where they play classic music for kids and get their reactions.

They recently did Kids React to Led Zeppelin, and Guitar World put it on my radar. I got a few good laughs and chuckles out of it, and it proves that some music is timeless.

Take a few minutes if you can and check it out - I think you'll enjoy, too.

Have a great Sunday!

Peace~
