Subject: Lydian Exercises

Hey Friend,

Next up, the Lydian mode.

In the key of C major, that’s got us starting on the F note. This is the fourth scale degree.

1  2  3  4  5  6  7 (8)
C D  E  F G A  B (C)

So we’ll begin this pattern with the F pitch and maintain the intervals as they’re found in the C major scale. This isn’t the key of F major, so again, no sharps or flats.

4  5  6  7  1  2 3
F  G A  B C D E

There are exercises for both acoustic and electric - pick the files that work for you.

I’ll be back tomorrow with the fabulous Mixolydian mode!

Peace~

Dave
