Subject: Knowledge, Time and Practice

Hey Friend,

Oh...

Em...

GGG!!!

I am sore in every region of my body. Feet. Hands. Arms. Legs. Torso. Even my head hurts.

I could break it down into finer detail, but you get the picture. The process of grinding concrete is brutal.

We got to the tool rental place a little after it opened (6AM!) to make sure the tools we needed would be there. The guy was nice enough to ask some questions about what our project was so we got the right stuff, rather than renting something that wouldn't do the job.

Even though information is put out with good intentions, often times that information doesn't translate the same in real-world application. Professionals can make something very difficult look easy to those of us that want to achieve similar results. When you have an amateur trying out his first stab at a job the pro does every day, you want to t least have the right tools.

I had researched what I needed, but what their website said would work and what I actually needed were two different things. That's why it's always a good idea to check out the information you find online with someone who knows what they're doing.

He asked if I had ever used a floor polisher before. Yup, in the Army. He gave me a brush attachment to "practice" a bit with before attaching the grinding blade. Unfortunately, all that did was make me think the job might be a little easier.

No such luck. That cutting tool was like a bucking bronco, and it made sure I knew it would take me out if I didn't tame it.

The pro clearly has what the amateur doesn't: knowledge, time and practice. I had a little knowledge, but the time and practice was lacking for sure.

Same goes for guitar, as you well know!

We can get away with a lot by having a little knowledge, but time and practice are things you just can't skimp on.

That's why it's nice to have some shortcuts. Pros use power chords to write and record chart topping music. Why shouldn't you?

The chord shapes are easy, and you can literally learn them in a few minutes. From there you can take any set of tabs and use power chords to play through the songs. Not using power chords - well then just substitute!  Almost any song using major and minor chords will take power chords as a substitution and sound good.

I've covered over 250 power chords in the ebook Easy Power Chords. Get your copy today!

Back to the flooring project...

Peace~
