Sheesh!
Well, yesterday was one of those days I won’t forget any time soon. It was something that could have come straight out of the nightly news - and an underscore of just how quickly things can change.
I can’t really go into details, because the details are sketchy right now...
It’s actually affecting me more today than when it was happening. I’ve had more time for my brain to process the events, and unfortunately, there are more unanswered questions than explanations…
What I do know is, when nearly a dozen law enforcement agents swoop into your work place and take the company owner away, there’s an element of shock that takes some time to wear off!
The explanation we were given had a few too many holes in it to be taken as the gospel truth. Trust in “management” has not been a luxury we’ve enjoyed…
Now that there has been some time to allow for things to settle, I’m sitting here with an uncomfortable sense of urgency.
Uncertainty is not a good position for most humans…
Complacency isn’t either, and I’ve been a little too reliant on the steady paycheck. It’s far too easy to lose sight of the bigger picture when immediate needs are met.
On the other hand, when you have a bucket of water thrown in your face, you tend to wake up!
My brain is still chewing on things, but there’ll be more to follow...
