Maybe you can relate? Probably.
I should've reached out... But we don't always do what we "should," right?
Lost my dad, first to Alzheimer's, then death. It's been almost a year now. We couldn't attend his memorial due to, well, you know.
This year, we watched helplessly as two pets became ill and had to make the gut-wrenching decision to put them to sleep.
And I just found out my buddy from my first band (lead guitarist) passed away.
So yeah, I think it's pretty safe to say we've ALL had a crappy run of it.
And yet, all along, guitar has been here.
When there was no one to talk to, my guitar helped me keep a handle on sanity.
Just the ability to pick it up and pluck a few notes, strum a chord or two, it's been a tangible anchor keeping a connection between shadow and light.
There's joy in playing. Music has been a constant, and at times, a lifeline.
What about you, Friend?
How are you doing? Has life been kicking you around, or did this lockdown let you dig into your guitar playing more?
Maybe some good has come out of it?
I'd love to hear from you regardless. Just hit reply and let me know how you're doing. Please.
Peace~
