Happy Valentine’s Day to y’all!
Hallmark has done a great job reminding us that today, we should do something nice for our sweeties.
I’m lucky enough to have three - my wife and two daughters, and candy is always a winner! I saw a cute little pink cactus I thought my wife might like as well.
Pretty, but prickly, too - kinda like love, right?
Love is a very complex emotion, though, with many different facets.
You can love a friend, which borders on the same type of love you would have for a brother or sister.
Then there’s the love and excitement you might feel when a relationship is new.
Best of all is the LOVE that is forever (which is a mighty long time, to quote Prince), and if you’re fortunate enough to find that, congratulations!
Of course, V-Day can stoke feelings in the opposite direction, too. I’m hoping you’re not in this boat today…
Fortunately, we have music to help us not only express, but endure (and sometimes curse) love.
Love is THE most common topic songs are written about. No matter what stage of love you might be in today, there’s been a song written.
