Hey Friend,
And the hits just keep coming!
Today is Memorial Day here in The States. It's a day to celebrate all the brave people that died while serving our country in the Armed Forces. Most folks are probably going to parades and family cookouts. It's a good time to remember the cost of freedom isn't free - the price has been blood and tears.
We did our family cookout yesterday, as I am traveling this afternoon for the new job. I'll be flying out and up to Fayetteville, North Carolina. I do have a stop in Atlanta (thanks for the heads-up, Mike - I'm a little nervous now!), so it'll be a long day by the time I get to the hotel.
Then it's in to work by 8 AM tomorrow. This is going to be an adjustment, as I'm usually writing to you at that time! I don't have a laptop computer, I'll be testing out an iPad to see if I can get the message out in a timely manner. Fingers crossed!
That said, I won't have my normal software I use for tabbing exercises, and I won't have any guitars with me, so I'll be sharing some other stuff for a while. I'm traveling for four weeks while they put me through "orientation," so I'm not sure what I'm getting into. After that, though, I'll be working from the comfort of home, so we'll deal with a little craziness for the time being.
Hope you have a chance to enjoy the day. You should take some time to sit outside with your guitar and play some tunes!
If you don't hear from me tomorrow, it's because I'm in "technology transition." Rock on, Peeps!
Peace~
