Hey Friend,
Thank you again for the love you’ve been sending our way. You’ve been holding me together.
If anything positive can be said about death and grieving, it gives us the opportunity to think about life and how we’re living it.
As I’ve been reflecting on my niece Paige’s passing, one thing keeps coming back to the forefront of my little pea brain:
We’re all on borrowed time.
If I don’t make the most of the time I’m given here on this beautiful, wondrous rock, I’m a total idiot.
And you are, too.
Hey, I love ya, but I know you’d rather hear it straight than have me fluff your pillows and tuck you in…
Are you living your life to the fullest?
Are you getting everything out of it you possibly can?
Are you putting in more than you can get out?
Sadly, most of us get stuck in a routine where we’re merely existing, rather than grabbing life by the scruff of the neck and making it our bitch.
It’s the devil, the path of least resistance...
It’s life, happening to us, rather than Us, happening to Life.
I think Willie Wonka said it as well as anyone:
“WE are the music makers… and WE are the dreamers of dreams."
What is your Dream? What do you want to accomplish while you’re here?
I’m convinced every one of us has a unique contribution to give to the world. The Universe brought us together for a reason, and I also believe music has some role in the contributions we will pass on.
Let’s figure out how to kick Life’s ass together and create it the way we want it, not merely live in its shadow.
I gotta go for now, but think about the above. There’s more to come…
Peace~
Dave
