Hey Friend,
Alright, moving right along. Next up is the G major chord.
In the key of G major, G was the I chord, and now in the key of E minor, it is the III chord. Still a major chord, and still built by using the G major scale to determine the 1 3 5 notes.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 (8) G A B C D E F# (G)
Since the key of G is the relative major key for E minor, everything lines up perfectly for us here. The notes fit within the E minor scale:
E F# G A B C D (E)
Without further adieu, here are the exercise files for G major:
Here are the various positions up the neck where you can play G Major.
And its barre chords:
Tomorrow I'll be back at trying to finish some stuff around the house. We're expecting some guests within the next couple months and I still have a two bathrooms to update, as well as a couple hundred linear feet of baseboard trim to install, not to mention new wall cabinets in another room. If I keep at it with a little project each weekend, I might get done by 2019...
I'm also going to be migrating all my stuff to a new computer. This old one has been threatening to die on me for some time now, and it has been in constant use for over seven years, so it was time...
Over the past few days, I've set you up with nine sets of exercise files you can practice, so I think we'll resume the chords of E minor next week. The weekend messages will be light.
Have a rockin' Friday!
Peace~
