Hey Friend,
After Saturday's email, my weekend took a turn to home improvement mode. While I didn't expect to be involved in the project, I ended up spend the rest of Saturday and all of Sunday helping put down a porcelain tile floor.
At just over 100 square feet, it took a lot longer that I expected it to. The prep work ate up so much time, not to mention the multiple trips to Home Depot (three, when it was all said and done).
I was wiped out by the time we finished! Add to that a Flu shot on Friday night for good measure, and there just wasn't much left for any more brain or brawn work.
I don't normally get any ill feelings from Flu shots (and would prefer not to get them at all, but when your wife works in the medical field, it's either get the shot or deal with her wrath. I'll take the shot, thank you!), but this one was nasty. Must be expecting a bad strain this year...
So now I sit in my dust covered office writing you this fine Monday morning. I don't think premixed grout will kick up any dust, so it's probably safe to get everything wiped down, but what a mess!
Since we just finished up with B minor on Saturday, it's time again to look at C major. I covered it extensively when we started down this chord study path, but I know there are some new folks who have joined us since then, so let's review.
C is the IV (four) chord in the key of G major. Constructed from the C, E and G notes, it uses the 4, 6 and 8 notes in the G major scale:
G A B C D E F# G
As we've seen before, C major shows up in six different keys:
Key I IIm IIIm IV V VIm VII° G G Am Bm C D Em F#°
F F Gm Am Bb C Dm E° C C Dm Em F G Am B°
And the minor keys:
Key Im II° III IVm Vm VI VII Am Am B° C Dm Em F G Dm Dm E° F Gm Am Bb C Em Em F#° G Am Bm C D
Peace~
Dave
