Subject: C# Minor Barre Chords

Hey Friend,

C# minor barre chords are like any other we've studied so far. Don't let the sharp symbol (#) throw you off.

Root 5 barre chords are played on the top five strings with the root note on the fifth string. C# minor is no different. Barre the first five strings with your index finger at the fourth fret.

From there, use the A minor shape (which looks like an open E major shape) on top of the barre. The exercise illustrates this for you. This gives you notes C#, G#, C#, E and G#.

The root 6 version of the chord uses a barre with your index finger at the ninth fret. Add on the open E minor shape (the same one we use in the CAGED system) and strum all six strings.

The notes line up as follows: C#, G#, C#, E, G#, C# from strings 6 to 1.

Pretty easy, right? Enjoy, and have a great Saturday!

Peace~
