I'm heading over to visit my old music school this afternoon. This was the guitar business I co-founded a couple years back. I partnered with one of my students, who has really done well building it up.
I sold him my share of the business last year as we prepared to move, and from the looks of it, he's been able to grow it quite a bit over the past year. He actually expanded with a second location and has at least a half dozen instructors coming in to teach.
After that I'm meeting up with one of my former students to grab a cup of coffee and catch up on things. Nancy is one of those cool ladies that had gotten a guitar many moons ago but didn't end up doing much with it. We all know how life has a habit of eating up your time.
After finally deciding to end the hiatus and start a guitar habit (just as addictive as nicotine but not as dangerous), she drew the line and got to picking up where she left off. She's got one of those "ain't nothing gonna stop her" attitudes - and she's making that instrument do what she wants it to do!
She's an inspiration to me and has really helped me grow as a teacher for you. Definitely the type of student every guitar teacher wants!
Anyway, time to get rolling.
