Customers are being more deliberate. 89% of those who conduct a search are buying within one week. 29% are buying the same day. Buying cycles are shortening. Reviews will be THE deciding factor.
Undeniable Fact Two: Your Google My Business Page Will Dominate Customer Choice in 2020.
64% of all searches occur on Google. Customer who find your Google My Business listing and see good reviews are 39% more likely to visit your location and 54% more likely to visit your website (so, have a good one!!). When a GMB listing is not optimized, the effect isn’t neutral. Every business knows that efforts must be made to create SEO (search engine optimization) to increase visibility. However, few understand that 13% of a website’s SERPs are directly tied to online reviews. This “weight” will increase in 2020.
Undeniable Fact Three: Online Reputation Management is No Longer Optional.

This is the business owner from Example Two responding to a review that is, according to him, in error. The owner did not respond to the review on YELP so, to respond, he decided to take it to FACEBOOK. Why all the vitriol? Because YELP wouldn’t remove the erroneous review (by the way, removing any review is a real struggle – erroneous or not!). In short, not good. Not good at all.
