We cordially invite you to the
Gardiner Foundation’s 7th Annual Gardiner Memorial Turkey Giveaway will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at St. James Park in The Bronx, N.Y. at 8 a.m. Sponsored by Lawyertime.com, 750 turkeys and all of the delicious Thanksgiving fixings will be handed out to families most in need.
Since its inauguration, the Annual Turkey Giveaway has handed out more than 2,000 turkeys and meals to the South Bronx community. We are blessed this year to be able to hand out more Thanksgiving meals than we ever have before.
The Foundation was established by Dexter Gardiner in 2006, in memory of six of his family members whose lives were tragically lost in a fatal car accident on the Bronx River Parkway. Dexter built the Foundation upon his family’s legacy of helping others by leading community outreach initiatives, offering educational scholarships, community support, spiritual guidance and burial assistance. In addition to the Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway, The Gardiner Foundation runs a two-day annual basketball tournament, toy drives, basketball clinics and youth programs.
Lawyertime.com has been working with the Gardiner Family since 2009.
This would not be possible without the generous donations and help received along the way. It is never too late to donate to the Gardiner Foundation. Donations received now will go towards the Turkey Giveaway as well as the Tru-Talk program, where local teenagers facing everyday challenges like gangs, violence, guns, unwanted pregnancy and a host of other issues in the South Bronx receive mentorship and guidance.
Checks can be made payable to The Gardiner Foundation, c/o Gersowitz Libo & Korek, P.C., 111 Broadway, 12th Floor, New York, New York 10006. The Gardiner Foundation is a New York State approved tax exempt 501(c)(3). You may also
donate online here.
Thank you to all who have supported The Gardiner Foundation and our work with them to improve the lives of those most in need in this South Bronx community.
We wish you and your families a happy and safe Thanksgiving.
Your friend,
Jeff S. Korek
