| Friends,
The Gardiner Foundation will be hosting its second annual Gardiner Memorial Basketball Clinic on Saturday, June 24th, 2017 at St. James Park at 193rd St. and Jerome Ave. in the Bronx. Registration begins at 10 AM, and the clinic runs from noon – 4 PM.
The clinic is free and open to boys and girls ages 7-15, with the first 150 kids to sign up that day receiving a free tee-shirt. Many volunteers and coaches will be on hand, including former NBA and NCAA Division I players, to teach the community youth high-level skills to improve their game. Most importantly, the clinic provides a safe haven for the children for an afternoon.
On a separate note, plans are already underway for the 12th Annual Gardiner Memorial Basketball Tournament, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 19-20, 2017, also at St. James Park. The Tournament always gets bigger and better each year, in an effort to improve the South Bronx and enrich the lives of the community youth.

| Four college scholarships will be handed out, along with 600 backpacks filled with school supplies for children ages 12 and under. Food and beverages will be provided both days, and giveaways will be provided to lucky attendees, including tablets, iPads and other merchandise that promote education and family values.
Many of our friends and colleagues have come out to the many Gardiner Foundation events throughout the years, and everyone has been influenced and humbled by the incredible work the foundation does to help the South Bronx community. If you have not yet been able to attend, I encourage you to join us on June 24th for the clinic and/or August 19-20th for the tournament. You will not be disappointed.
