March 2021 Astrological & Numerological Forecast
Get ready for some energy shifts! The month of March brings with it the winds of change and this can bring much needed relief for many of us. In astrology, March is the month where the energy of the old year finally fades into the energy of the new year. This is symbolized by the signs of Pisces and Aries. Pisces is the sign the Sun is in for the beginning of the month and Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac. When the Sun is in this sign, it ends a cycle and we often see things come to some sort of conclusion. Pisces teaches us about releasing to a higher purpose and embracing a deeper state of being and understanding as we integrate the experiences in our lives. This helps us to transcend the things no longer needed for our growth and prepare for a new cycle. If we have been doing our spiritual work, this transition will be led by our intuition and although emotional, this will also lead to a greater sense of inner peace as we understand the lessons learned.
However, if we have not been doing our spiritual work, we may find ourselves acting in resistance and wanting to escape our lives. This can lead to a more dramatic release if we resist the changes life is demanding from us as the universe tends to force change upon us when we refuse to change on our own. Either way, change is inevitable so I encourage you to learn from the lessons and take a cue from Pisces and go with the flow so you have an easier ride through the stream of life.
As the Sun moves into Aries on the Spring Equinox, a new zodiac cycle begins and we have the astrological new year. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and this is a very different energy than Pisces. Aries is an active sign, it wants to get moving and it demands that we initiate action in our lives. This brings in a whole new dynamic and the symbolism of Spring is the return of the light and new life on the horizon. To top it off, there are no planets in retrograde until the end of April and there are no major planetary alignments with the outer planets this month. This is some much needed relief that the world needs right now.
On March 3rd, Mars enters Gemini and remains there until April 23rd. Mars is the planet of action, drive and willpower. In the sign of Gemini, weāre getting more in our heads and seeking more social interaction to stimulate us. Right around the same time, on the 4th, Mercury joins up with Jupiter in the sign of Aquarius, making a nice aspect with Mars by sign. This is bold energy, this is announcements and big news - most likely good news, thanks to the Jupiter influence! With the Mars energy, it lights a fire under us and stirs us into action.
There is a student/teacher energy to this combination of planets too, so if youāve been feeling a pull to either do some learning or to do some teaching, Mars just might be pushing you to make that move now. With the air signs of Gemini and Aquarius, we are looking at giving and receiving help from others and possibly working with groups and organizations too so if you feel a need to make some changes there, now is the time to do so. We have the New Moon in Pisces on March 13th and this is happening at 23 degrees Pisces. Those of us with personal planets in the later degrees of the mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces will feel this the most. This New Moon happens to also be in alignment with the planets Neptune and Venus in Pisces. This combination is very magical! There is a very dreamy, romantic energy to this New Moon and it also brings with it a great sense of hope, healing and emotional relief. It speaks of faith restored.
This can be a very uplifting time for many of us but it can also be a very dramatic time especially if we let ourselves get swept up in the energy of our fantasies. It is important to have one foot in reality during this time as we can easily get carried away and lose sight of what is actually happening and/or possible in our lives. Itās difficult to be clear about things with so much Pisces/Neptune energy in the mix. But for the most part, this is very uplifting, positive and hopeful energy. With the New Moon, it packs a punch and holds the potential to help us move into the new astrological year with renewed faith and vision for the future.
Mercury enters the sign of Pisces on March 15th (my birthday!) and it adds more dreamy Pisces energy to the skies. Mercury is not at its best in this sign unfortunately and the need for discernment and grounding is more important than ever. Itās easy to miss the fine details and itās way too easy to overlook obvious faults and ignore red flags when Mercury is here. If you are negotiating any important dealings, making big purchases, signing any important paperwork, etc. then be sure to get a second opinion or have another set of eyes take a look at things to give you a clearer picture and to make sure you are not just looking through rose colored glasses. If your friends try to warn you that you may not be seeing everything clearly, then pay attention to that or learn the hard way. Our logical reasoning isnāt at its best when Mercury is in Pisces, intuitive guidance is the method best employed at this time. On the upside, this is an excellent time for artistic, musical and other creative endeavors!
On March 20th, the Sun enters Aries and this marks the Spring Equinox, the beginning of a new zodiac cycle. Right about at the same time on the 21st, Venus also enters Aries and conjoins the Sun to bring us some wonderful rebirthing energy! With Venus, we are looking at a new way of defining our values, our relationships and our personal treasures. This is a time for making personal statements about your own value system and making changes in accordance to your individual needs.
On March 28th, the Full Moon in Libra demands we bring balance into our lives. If the dreamy energy of the New Moon brought with it something that seemed too good to be true, now is the time that the truth will be revealed. With Venus, the ruling planet of Libra in the sign of Aries, this brings about a great need to find harmony in our personal relationships. For some of us, this could be a āburning bridgesā type of energy as we clarify what we value for ourselves thanks to Venus in Aries. This is happening at 8 degrees Libra and those with personal planets around 8 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn will be feeling this the most. Libra looks for cooperation, but with the Full Moon, sometimes it is discovered that the best way to do that is to go our separate ways. Other times, itās about making big changes in our lives in order to find more harmony and balance. Some keywords for Libra are compromise, cooperation and partnership so with the Moon here, the focus will be on finding ways to make our relationships better.
On top of that, the North Node and Mars will be in conjunction in the sign of Gemini that day which amplifies the Mars energy in your chart. A conjunction between Mercury and Neptune in Pisces the next day brings the potential for a mental breakthrough if you are doing your inner work. It is important to get in touch with your intuition at this time and to follow your own inner guidance.
In numerology, March is a number 8 universal month. The number 8 holds a lot of weight - it is the number of self-mastery, authority, power and money. When abused, it can lead to bullying and tyranny but when used properly, the 8 can lead with confidence and wise prudence. For the world at large, in a number 5 universal year, this month could bring a change in leadership, authority or governmental and financial structures. The 5 energy of the year promises big news, major changes and demands more in terms of going after our personal freedoms. For the most part, March looks to bring in some much needed relief and the promise of renewed faith. If youāve been feeling the heaviness of the year 2020, it looks like we are going to get a little relief around that in March. At least, Iām hopeful for that anyway but maybe thatās just my three Pisces planets currently under the influence of Neptune talking! Either way, it always feels better to have hope rather than to be in fear, so I encourage you to follow your emotional guidance and lean in the direction of feeling better. It leads to more happiness and I can personally attest to that!
