July 2020 Astrological Forecast
The month of July 2020 starts off with the intense energy hangover from June 30th where Jupiter and Pluto conjoin in the sign of Capricorn. Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions are rare and occur only every thirteen years, this could bring up some past hurts that need to be examined once more on a large scale. And then Saturn, currently retrograde, moves back into the sign of Capricorn on the 1st of July. We can expect to see more attention on the tearing down of the old structures and our old societal systems (including systems of thought) meeting with opposition. With that Pluto energy mixing in here, America is seeing energies similar to what we experienced during the time of the American Revolutionary War! These are very tough times, but the good news is that once all of these old, limiting and outdated systems have been removed, we can start anew. We can begin with a new vision, one that benefits the everyday person, not just the elite few. So hang in there and remember to stay strong in your heart, offering peace and compassion to those who are in pain right now, including yourself.
The month gets an explosive beginning with some intense energies coming up during the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on July 4th/5th! This closes up the eclipse season we just went through in June (it started on the last Full Moon). The Sun in Cancer and the Moon in Capricorn opposing one another in our skies has many of us questioning our personal security as many feel that our security (Cancer) is threatened by those in authority (Capricorn) right now. Combined with the fiery energy of Mars in Aries for the next 6 months, tensions may be very high on our nation’s birthday! The Lunar Eclipse could be an indication of something coming to an end, and I would like to think that means the division we’ve been experiencing will be coming to an end but I think perhaps I am being naively optimistic as Saturn (ruler of Capricorn & Aquarius traditionally) isn’t finished with us just yet. Saturn will move back into Aquarius in December and that should be a very interesting month!
Chiron, that little celestial body that hardly no one seems to talk about joins the retrograde party on July 11th. He will be moving back through the first ten degrees of the sign of Aries until he goes direct once more in December. Look to see which house Aries rules in your chart to get a better idea on how this might touch you personally. Although Chiron is relatively new to modern astrologers (having been only discovered in 1977), we do know that when Chiron goes retrograde, it is an opportunity for healing. Chiron’s backward motion in our skies urges us to step back so we may learn from our pain while we lick our wounds. We then share this knowledge with others, helping to ease their suffering in return.
On July 12th, Mercury goes direct once more and perhaps then we will see things ease up a little bit in our communications and perhaps our electronics will play nicely again.
On the 20th, we have the New Moon in Cancer and this can be a very emotional sensitive time for many people especially as at the same time, the New Moon will be in direct opposition with the planet Saturn. This could definitely spark some fears surrounding our security and survival instincts! It will be important to be self-aware during the time leading up to and just after the New Moon so that you do not find yourself being swept away with the emotional energy that will surely be heavy in the air. Be sure that you are grounding yourself and doing what you can to help you feel safe and secure within your own body and personal life. I find that by the end of the third day after the New Moon, things tend to come to a conclusion so hang in there should you find yourself in the middle of a transformational and emotional wave. It’ll be over soon!
On July 22nd, the energy shifts again as the Sun enters the sign of Leo. When the Sun is here, we typically experience an uplifting energy as Leo is ruled by the Sun and its natural disposition is one of optimism and illumination, bringing new hope and new knowledge to our hurting world. People do tend to become a little more selfishly focused with this energy but for the most part it’s a much lighter, happier energy than the emotionally charged energy of the Cancer Sun and I’d like to think that we can expect some more smiles on more people’s faces thanks to that.
July 2020 in numerology is a universal 11/2 month in basic numerology. This can be a time of spiritual insights and meaningful messages, of illuminating information and of deeper understanding if we are open to universal energies. It can be a time of cooperation and union if we are willing to look beyond our differences and instead learn to connect at the most basic level as individuals, as families, as groups, as nations, as a species and as a planet but it will take strength of character and strength of heart to do so. We must resist the urge to continue to divide through differences in opinions and embrace our freedom to choose whatever is right for ourselves.
These are emotionally and energetically tough times and as I’ve been telling my readers over the years, it is inevitable that change is coming. There’s no stopping the evolution of humanity’s consciousness and many of us are having to face our shadow selves at this time as we are called to heal ourselves so that we may grow and evolve. This is happening on a collective level as well as on a personal level. I encourage you to take time to meditate, to go within and then follow what you feel intuitively drawn to do.
If you’ve been feeling uncomfortable with your life, perhaps now is the time for you to make some changes. Perhaps now is the time for you to face your fears so that you may let them go and become more like the person you long to be. Perhaps now is the time for you to let go of those limiting beliefs that have been stopping you from living a life that is more authentically in line with who you have become.
Change needn’t be scary. And change does not need to be painful either, although it often is because of fear of the unknown. However, as the Buddha told us: pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. If we can have a little bit of faith and a little bit of trust in the universe, we can find the courage to face the shadow and then embrace the unknown future with hope in our hearts. It comes from taking the time and having the courage to really get to know ourselves, darkness and all and then completely accepting ourselves. This is the healing that must be done on all levels right now and if you are feeling the calling, I encourage you to step into the unknown and be willing to believe that you are being guided by a higher consciousness.
There are no accidents in this universe, and that includes you. So remember who you really are - a co-creator in this wondrous universe! I’m here to remind you that you are not alone and you do have inner wisdom deep inside you. Stop listening to others for it, they will only confuse you. Listen to your heart and follow its guidance for this is the Spirit within you that is trying to get your attention right now. Listen to it and follow what feels right and true to you and you cannot go wrong even when others would tell you differently.
