| November 2020 Astrological Forecast
The fact that we start the month of November 2020 off within the window of a Full Moon (a Blue one, no less!) could serve as an omen for what to expect for the following few weeks. This year has been intense enough, but with this Full Moon energy hanging over from October 31st along with the conjunction to the planet Uranus, November looks to be a rather unstable month.
Uranus in opposition to the Scorpio Sun brings an erratic and electric energy to the planet as it denotes possible changes in power, which at first might be seen as disruptive but if we are open minded to the new possibilities the changes could bring, we can evolve in ways we never would have imagined before. Uranus is currently retrograde in Taurus. Taurus governs economics, food and resources, lands and property to name a few. Uranus is a generational planet, its influence reaching masses of people. One of the things it governs is advanced technology, including the internet and social networking.
So what could this possible bring? That’s just it, we just don’t know! With this planet, one must expect the unexpected. It’s the nature of Uranus for it is the planet of shocks, upheavals, rebellions and surprises. Financial crash? Possibly. Political revolutions? Likely. Solar flashes? Already underway, but could increase. Earthquakes? Maybe. The Internet going dark? Perhaps. Alien contact? A real possibility. Or it could go in the more positive direction, depending on how you view it. Either way its energy surprises us by bringing us much needed change which reaches the masses. Change is always a little scary if you aren’t ready to surrender to the divine timing of the Universe. Uranus teaches us to think differently, to explore unheard of ideas and to come up with innovative solutions that serve the people. So learn to let go of what needs to go and embrace the changes that must come, for change is inevitable at this point on our planet. It’s time for humanity to think and act in new ways. I see it as a good thing ultimately because in order to build the new, we must destroy the old first. This isn’t always a pretty process though, as anyone undergoing a home renovation can tell you! But it is always worth it in the end. Right now, it is important to look for ways to help yourself feel secure. Find ways to increase your sense of stability and remember that you are not alone. The social and spiritual connections we make are indispensable in allowing us to persevere through hard times. Pay attention to all of the abundance you already have in your life and you allow more into it.
Most of us start November by pushing our clocks back an hour thanks to the end of Daylight Savings Time and we get to enjoy another hour of sleep. We’re going to need it too as Venus opposes Chiron on November 1st which could provoke some sensitive subjects in either the area of our loved ones or in our finances or both. With that recent Uranus in Taurus conjunction to the Full Moon, many of us may be dealing with financial shocks. Hopefully you made preparations just in case. Be sure to take some time for yourself and to always look for the silver lining should anything get stirred up for you.
On November 3rd, Mercury goes direct once more and will begin his trek back through the zodiac, starting at about 26 degrees Libra. Any issues in your life that were highlighted during the time Mercury was in retrograde (October 13 - November 2) are now brought to a new level of understanding and if you are paying attention and working on your self-growth, you will learn any lessons this planet brought to your life during the following few days as Mercury finally leaves its Storm on November 8th. Reflect back on any ideas that might have occurred for you during the retrograde and ask yourself how you feel about them now. Did something change? Did you gain clarity? What adjustments need to be made now to see your plans come into being? These are the types of questions to ask yourself anytime an inner planet goes direct once more and with Mercury, it usually has something to do with the mind and how you are mentally processing things.
On November 10th, Mercury enters the sign of Scorpio once again and goes back over that area of your life, almost like giving us a second chance at thinking in new ways about those things the retrograde highlighted in our lives. On a global scale, we are seeing the disclosure of many things happening and I believe that’s because of the heavy Scorpio energy going on right now. In Scorpio, Mercury is beyond curious, looking beneath the surface of things and uncovering secrets and hidden things. It is the detective of the zodiac and it is ruthless and sometimes a little vicious in its pursuit of discovering the truth.
The year of 2020 has been the year of the Great Reveal and November could just be the perfect time for that to reach the masses thanks to November’s Scorpio energy! The Sun is in Scorpio until the 21st, highlighting this need to go deeper, look closer and uncover more. There is also an intense underlying need for massive change which is iconic of the Scorpio energy. Rest assured, change is coming, that is inevitable. We would do well to keep in mind too that the Scorpio energy is not afraid to go into the dark underbelly of human nature to expose the truth, so brace yourself as the world uncovers more and the people finally learn what’s really been going on in the world.
On November 14th we have the New Moon in Scorpio and this can usher in some very intense emotional energy, especially for Scorpio’s fellow fixed signs: Taurus, Leo and Aquarius! On a more personal level, the New Moon in Scorpio serves as a time for transformation. It is a time for purging and for renewing the self. This can sometimes be a messy process so have patience with yourself or others who might be feeling the gravity of this celestial event. This is happening at 23 degrees Scorpio so take a look at your chart to see how that affects you personally and if you need help with that, you know where I am. It’s always a good idea to practice self-care and with this Scorpio New Moon, some of us might want to double on that!
Mars goes direct once more on November 13th at 15 or so degrees in the sign of Aries. It’s been retrograde for the past couple of months, highlighting issues in our lives according to our personal charts which need more energy applied or energy adjustments made in order to get our lives moving smoothly. Mars is about action and when its retrograde, any action we are attempting can be met with opposition, delays or blockages of some sort which can cause a great deal of frustration in that area of your life. The trick with Mars is to know how to pick your battles. It’s a matter of how much energy you really want to spend on something and sometimes we need to ask ourselves “is it really worth it?” Life is short, why waste your time and energy on things that aren’t worth it? Learn to let those things go that only serve to upset or frustrate you and be open to applying your energy in new ways. As Mars goes direct, this is our time now to redirect our energy and apply ourselves according to what we are truly passionate about.
If you can’t sleep the night of the 16th, this could be due to the Mercury/Uranus opposition happening that night. Do yourself a favor and stay away from electronics, caffeine and stimulating mental subjects that day and you will have a better chance at sleeping that night. Mercury and Uranus are both planets that have to do with the mind and restlessness is sort of the name of the game with this aspect. If you find yourself up all night, you might as well put that mental energy to work and get something done rather than make yourself crazy with your insomnia. Plan ahead and take the next day off if you can!
The Sun enters the sign of Sagittarius on November 21st and the energy shifts once more as the Sun shines through the optimistic, adventurous and opinionated energies of this sign. Sagittarius energy is definitely free spirited and expansive, but it can also be dogmatic especially when it comes to such subjects as morals, ethics and political beliefs. And this year has certainly been an interesting one for such subjects! When the Sun is here, it highlights these subjects on a global scale and we might have some more political upheaval coming our way. But Sagittarius is also a sign that requires its freedom and independence and I do believe we may see more of a public outcry for our personal liberties with this. Although it may not be televised, the revolution is already well underway.
Also on November 21st, Venus enters Scorpio. Venus is the planet of love, money and desires. When Venus is here, our relationships tend to get a lot more intense and serious. We look for ways to merge with others on a deeper level and we are willing to do the digging to learn all we can about the things (and people, most especially people) we love. Just be careful not to become obsessive as is the nature of this planetary energy.
On November 28th, Neptune, the planet of dreams, visions, illusions and fantasies goes direct once more. While retrograde, most of us hardly notice as Neptune is an outer planet which goes retrograde often and affects us on a more collective level. Neptune is in its home sign of Pisces, giving us some extra dosage of the sensitive and psychic energy known to this sign. We mustn’t forget that Neptune also has a higher spiritual energy to it, helping us to dissolve our differences and find compassion for others. Let us hope that as it moves direct again, more people will reach for this higher octave and find compassion for our fellow human beings as well as for our planet. Many are having spiritual awakenings at this time and I like to think that Neptune in Pisces is playing a large role in this, teaching us that a heart centered on love, service and compassion is a pathway to enlightenment.
We have the Full Moon at 8 degrees Gemini on November 30th, ending the month with some thought provoking energy. In Gemini, the Moon is most interested in collecting information, gathering Intel and getting involved in as much data as possible. This is also a very social and active energy which usually seeks an outlet by sharing information with others. We just might hear some interesting news (Gemini) around this time that will cause us to think and act differently (Sagittarius). This can be another couple of sleepless nights as Gemini is ruled by Mercury which rules the mind, so have patience if sleep is hard to come by. Those most affected by this Full Moon are the mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
In numerology, November 2020 is a number 6 universal month. Thankfully 6 is a number which brings forth healing, growth and harmony. After the rocky number 5 October energy, we need this! This is a time for us to love and nurture ourselves and to serve others, to focus on what is working in our lives and to work on more ways to grow in our lives. One of the blocks to overcome with this number is the tendency to try to make other peoples’ lives work when it's not our role to do so. We can only be responsible for our own growth. The number 6 challenges us to break the habit of emotional codependency and work on dissolving the belief that we have to fix others before we can work on ourselves. In a number 4 universal year, this is about setting down a new foundation for our future so keep that in mind as you work on your own things and let others work on theirs. The best way you can help another in your life is by making your life work and setting the example. When they are ready to learn what you know, they will come to you.
Times are crazy right now and it looks likely that they will get a little bit more so for a while longer. As I write this (Oct 28), I can feel something coming our way very soon and for some, this might be tough. So it is more important than ever to ground yourself and to center yourself in your heart as we need the higher frequencies of love to anchor us into the new dimension. Do your best to keep your vibes high, to love and forgive others and to reach out through your heart rather than through your ego. And for all my fellow empaths, nurture yourself and as well as you nurture others! Tend to your own needs and self-care accordingly because you cannot be of any use to others if you are not taking care of yourself first, please remember that.
