Simple Yule Spell: Light After Darkness

This Yule spell honors the transition from darkness to light, inviting renewal, abundance, and clarity for the year ahead.

1. On Yule night, turn off all lights and electronics, sit in darkness, and reflect on the year's lessons in stillness.

2. Arrange four candles for the elements (red for fire, blue for water, white for air, green for earth) in a circle, with a black candle in the center for spirit.

3. Write your wish for the coming year on parchment, focusing on renewal and joy, and place it beneath the black candle.

4. Light the candles and chant:

“From the dark, the light will grow,

Renew my spirit, let blessings flow.

Earth and fire, air and sea,

Bring Yule’s magic now to me.”

5. Light the other candles clockwise, visualizing your wish.

Burn the parchment in the black candle’s flame to release your intention, then let the black candle burn out completely.
