Eyimofe (This Is My Desire)

Konsthall C + CinemAfrica

An evening in the city lights of Lagos, through the camera lins!

Film screening: Eyimofe (This Is My Desire)

Mofe and Rosa live two different lives in a poor neighborhood in Lagos, but both dream of a different life on the other side of the Mediterranean. Life is characterized by social injustices and insecurity, and even though they are strangers to each other, they share the same struggle and dreams.

Konsthall C collaborates with CinemaAfrica, the Nordic region's largest African film festival, which this year takes place 11-24 October, online. The collaboration is inspired by our ongoing exhibition The Measure of City Pathways, where photographer Akinbode Akinbiyi depicts his hometown of Lagos.

Free film screening, exhibition tour and popcorn!

Forced Futuristic Art

Pries Verhon, AKA Richard Wikström does a Centrifug comeback.

After exhibiting as a Centrifug artist in our large exhibition hall in 2019, Pries Verhon returns with a further development of the concept Forced Futuristic Art.

“As the election year is coming up and several years have passed, my plan is to request various documents to illuminate and demonstrate how forced futuristic art can work in practice and that through some form of exhibition and analysis(...)"

Interview with Carla Parro, currently intern at Konsthall C

She is a student at Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence, focusing on cultural production and management. We are delighted to have her here!

"I think the most fun of the job was to organize new projects, for example Pavilion C, the outdoor festival. And just being able to, first of all, meet the inhabitants of the neighborhood. It was amazing working with a team every weekend. You never know what's going to happen, and I was really enjoying this."

The one interviewing Carla is art student from Helsinki and also intern at Konsthall C, Chih Tung Lin.
