Measure of the city pathways

September 4th– Octobre 31 2021

For the past forty years, Akinbode Akinbiyi has photographed the ongoing life of the streets in several major African cities. Through his analog camera, he examines the metamorphosis of cities and communicates with the written words that are constantly dancing in the streets. The photographs show social structures and strive to reveal the hidden and make the invisible visible in everyday life.

The exhibition contains of three ongoing photo series:

Lagos: All Roads, 1985- (Lagos, Nigeria)

Adama in Wonderland, 1985 - (Johannesburg, Sydafrika)

BKO, 1985- (Bamako, Mali)
