    ...and of course....cooking out!

This month our featured recipe is one that you'll want to put on repeat every weekend. These baked beans are slow simmered on the stovetop with Bourbon and brown sugar - they're the perfect compliment to whatever you're cooking on the grill.

KITCHEN PRO TIP - BEST WAY TO CUT BELL PEPPERS
Have you ever tried to slice a bell pepper, only to find that it’s almost impossible to find a stable way to hold it and you inevitably end up with seeds all over the counter? Well here’s our favorite way to get even, consistent slices (and dices) with any size bell pepper.
  1. Cut stem off, flush with the top of the bell pepper.
  2. Place the bell pepper, with stem side facing down, on a cutting board.
  3. Starting from the top, slice downward removing one side of the bell pepper. (Think of it like you’re cutting the pepper into a square core.)
  4. Rotate the bell pepper 90 degrees and repeat the cut. Do this two more times until all sides have been cut off and only the core remains (with seeds intact!)
  5. Laying each piece flat, slice long ways into desired widths. If you’re dicing the pepper, rotate the slices 90 degrees and chop to desired size.
