Dear Parents,

Regrettably, we will not be the chess club provider at Woodward North in
the coming school year. The school, as is its prerogative, has increased
its fees from a very low fee to one that is 20 times as high. As we operate
with a very narrow profit margin, we would be unable to pay the required
fee without cutting staff and other expenses. I believe this would lower
the quality of your child’s experience. The administration, the parents,
and of course, the kids at Woodward North have always treated us
wonderfully. In addition to being back in the other schools we were in
pre-pandemic, and some new schools, we also expect to expand into
non-school settings such as retail, and rec-centers. Also, our online clubs
and camps are ongoing and will be in the fall. We sincerely hope you’ll
join us, and we greatly appreciate you trusting us with your children, who
are always delightful.
