Dear Notre Dame Parents,
I am writing on behalf of the Kid Chess team to extend our sincerest apologies for the lapse in our service on October 26th. It was an unfortunate oversight that, for the first time in our Chess Club history, our coaches did not attend the scheduled class, resulting in the cancellation of that week's afterschool program.
We deeply regret the inconvenience and disappointment this caused to the students, parents, and the school administration. We understand how important extracurricular activities like the Chess Club are to the development of students, and we take our commitment to this program very seriously.
To make amends for this oversight, we have extended the current semester. Because of this, our trophy day will be moved to January 16th of 2024.
In addition to the extended semester, we are gifting each enrolled student their own chess board and set as a gesture of our sincere apology. We believe that this gift will not only make up for the missed club but also enhance your child's learning experience, providing them with the tools to practice and enjoy chess at home. The chess sets will be given out today during club.
At Kid Chess, we hold the education and care of your students in the highest regard. We assure you that we have taken measures to ensure that such an oversight does not occur in the future. We value the trust and partnership we have with you and the staff at Notre Dame and are determined to uphold the standards of our service.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding. If there are any further concerns or suggestions you'd like to discuss, please feel free to reach out.
