Dear Parents/Guardians, Kid Chess is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all the children in our clubs.
It is important to remember that we have students that have severe nut allergies and that strict avoidance of peanut/nut products is the only way to prevent a life-threatening allergic reaction.
To reduce the risk of exposure, all Kid Chess clubs, tournaments, and summer camps are nut free. Please do not send any nut containing products for snack or sack lunch. In addition, if your child has eaten peanuts or nuts prior to coming to Kid Chess, please be sure your child’s hands are thoroughly washed. Peanuts may be concealed in processed and baked goods. Examples include candy, cereals, and cookies. Please check all labels of snacks and foods. If foods are labeled as “may contain tree nuts or peanuts,” “has ingredients of peanut oil,” or “processed in a nut-containing facility,” please do not send in with your child.
To maximize the time spent playing chess, we request that if possible snacks should be eaten prior to arrival at chess club following your child’s school/classroom snack procedure.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Our number one priority is keeping our children safe and we appreciate your diligence in this matter.
Sincerely,
The Kid Chess Coaches |
