 Last night, I was observing the night skies, here on Manitoulin Island, and it was simply phenonomenal.

Could not have asked for a better Moonless night! 

The Milky way was gleaming....

A salient reminder that  on occasion  we do get a really great night. 

There is no substitute for a dark sky it seems;  Sometimes you just have to drive far enough
away to get one.

Manitoulin island is about a 6.5 hour drive from Toronto (or you can take the ferry at Tobermory which
runs till Thanksgiving Weekend).  The MS Chi-Cheemaun is a pretty cool ferry ride!

Just a reminder also:

Now is also a good time of the year to take advantage of our Fall trade-in, trade up (or down) event!,
which is in full swing now! 

If you want to upgrade your instrument, for bigger aperture  or downsize it to something more portable,
now is a good time to do so!

And yes, we also buy instruments outright for cash if that is your preference.

How it works:  Just drop by the store, bring your equipment with you, choose a new (or used) telescope
and we will take care of the rest of the details!

You can trade in your instrument regardless of how old it is, size, aperture or condition.

No appointment is neccessary; we are open 7 days a week.
