Good Morning,

If you don't have any plans for this long weekend, then consider joining me in the beautiful Collingwood
area, at the Huronia Star Party.  This event is organized by a local group of amateur astronomers in South Simcoe
to promote the hobby of astronomy, to show off their latest gear, and to try some imaging under the dark skies.

This party is very laid back, and casual and under some awesome dark skies. There will be presentations
throughout the weekend, and also some Laser guided sky tours at night.

 If you have never been to a Star Party before, then this one is good one to start with.

It is geared towards the novice as well as the advanced amateur and everyone is welcome.
You can also camp on site, there are some facilities and food is also available on site, and
you can simply register at the gate, with no prior reservation.

If you don't Camp, there are several motels and bed and breakfast's in the area
around Collingwood, which you can find online.

There is also a dinner on sight with a a speaker both Friday and Saturday Night.

Don't have a telescope? Don't Worry! Just bring yourself, and maybe a chair, cot and a blanket
and join in the laser guided telescope tour. The folks here are friendly and share your passion
for the night sky. Binoculars are a useful tool as well.

I will be giving a workshop on Saturday morning, on how you can get the most out of your telescope equipment.
and also providing some observing techniques that others have found to be useful.

If you have a telescope, and have questions, bring it along to the presentation, for some asssitance.

 Hey, there will also be an opportunity to observe Comet Garrardd.  Don't forget, Jupiter is visible now too,
and presenting some spectacular views.
