                      Stop cursing your computerized equatorial mount.

What I'm about to share with you is something you really want to pay attention too.

    Remember the days of the flashing VCR? 

You know the one that would constantly flash 12:00 because it was too complicated to program?

Fortunately, those days are gone now.  And so are VCR's...(Ok, I've still got one in basement, along with
a beta vcr too!)

Now what does this have to do with your computerized equatorial mount?

    Simply this: If you don't upgrade the firmware on them, (and it's usually free of charge from the manufacturers website), then you
are not going to get the most of your system.

That's right. You might be out one night using your telescope mount, and then it might start doing something weird
or funny, that you weren't expecting.

Then you go nuts trying to figure out what's wrong.   You could spend hours on this!

Firmware, the part the is the "brains" of your telescopes computer system is being updated all the time.

And when Manufacturers find an error or bug  in the software, they fix it and update the file, and then post it to their website so you
can download it onto your computerized mount.

    You will need  a few things: A cable, that runs between your USB port on your PC, and your telescope so they
can "talk" to each other.

   Either way, it's simply something you should do, and with Spring around the corner, now is the time to do it.

If you have an older computerized mount, then it might be time to simply upgrade it.
