Hello Friend,

                              Sure, everyone is excited about the new Celestron Nexstar Evolution series.

However, it's not a telescope designed for everyone.   And I want to make a clear distinction today
as to why it may not be the right instrument for you.

Now, personally I am looking forward to taking delivery of the  Celestron 9.25 Nexstar Evolution,
which is going to replace my current Nexstar 8 SE telescope.

And here is why: Yes, I want a little more aperture, and I know how good the legendary 9.25 optical
tube is.  

Amateur astronomers rave about it.

I also like the idea of a very accurate drive system, that has a self contained Lithium power supply
that will run my telescope for at least 10 hours or so.

Right now, I have to carry around a power supply, and its just one more thing to think about.

And I want to be able  to dabble with some astroimaging and perhaps add the optional wedge
for longer exposure imaging.

Now, the biggest plus for me is this.   

I absolutely love the idea of being able to use my iPad mini to control and operate my telescope.
Or my Iphone (androids and other smartphones will work as well.)

It ain't fun using a regular hand control, because first off it's a tad harder to read for myself
and my Ipad screen has awesome resolution. (It has the high res retina screen).

A more stable, and all metal tripod was also a deal maker for yours truly.  I've seen it, kicked it,
and I like it.

The Evolution also costs more than the regular Nexstar series of telescopes, so if you are on 
a tight budget, and some of the stuff I noted above, does not interest you, then you can
save a few bucks by buying a regular Nexstar.

Celestron is on schedule right now to start shipping the New Evolution in June this year.
