There is something far more interesting going on, with the "face" of the Sun.

It's called Sunspot AR2192.

Yep, this sunspot is one of the biggest seen in a long time.

Active region (AR) 2192 erupted a massive x class flare , the most powerful type there is,
on October 19th.

That's why you'll want to take a loot at it.

And the best way to do that is with a solar filter,  attached to your telescope or
another way is to use a dedicated H-alpha solar telescope,  such as those
made by Coronado, or Lunt Solar Systems.
