Subject: What do you have to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving weekend? ,Friend

Hello  Friend,

Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we forget to stop to take a moment
for ourselves to remind ourselves that we have much to be thankful for.

Sure, its easy to complain about life's everyday problems. Too much traffic,
can't find a parking spot,  the price of gas, etc...

I thought that for this weekend I would take a few moments to reflect on  what's great
about Canada.

Here are a few things I am thankful for, and I am sure you can find your own.

That we can enjoy the beauty of this wonderful country. The more I see of this
country of ours, the more I realize just how fortunate I am to live and work  in it.

For example,we have some the most beautiful parks in the world.

Lots of preserved green space! Wonderful forests, Dark Sky preserves across the country
to keep our night skies beautiful and there for many generations to appreciate and enjoy.
Places such as Algonquin Park,  Killarney Provincial Park, Banff, the Rockies,  Newfoundland
Manitoulin Island, ...well, the list goes on.

If it has been a while since you have perhaps visited one of our national parks, then do take the time
to do so. Take your telescope along, and enjoy the wonderful night skies, and see the night sky
as never before. It really will rejuvenate you like nothing else. For a nightowl like myself, there is
nothing better.

What's that you say? You like to sleep at night? Ok, then how about a Solar Telescope to see
the astonsihing changes taking place on the Sun's surface each day. That will blow you away.
Best yet, the prices on this type of equipment have dropped dramatically over the past couple
of years. Truly remarkable! Lunt and Coronado are the leaders in this game right now in terms
of offering both entry level and advanced product offerings.

Perhaps you might want to dabble in some Astro imaging.  You have thought about that for

a while but aren't sure how to get started. Maybe it's too complicated you think, or maybe
you don't think you have the right equipment. If you think any of those things, you would
be wrong on all counts!

In fact, it's never been easier!

The Mallincam, the Celestron (NEW! Nightscape CCD)   and the QSI brand of CCD cameras are great for those
who want to jump into the hobby.

Here is hoping that you have an opportunity to enjoy this Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, with your friends and family.
Happy Thanksgiving!

And may you find many reasons to be thankful, Friend.

Kind Regards,

Ray Khan

PS May I also take ask that you consider those that may be less fortunate than yourself at this time? Perhaps a last minute donation  to
a local food bank would be something to consider, and if you have already done so, Thank you!
